Nebraska has no set statewide film permitting policy. In general, communities require permits to shoot in public spaces and lands owned by the city or state. In 2015, the Nebraska Legislature exempted out-of-state production vehicle from state license registration for up to a year. While production vehicles are available in-state, this is just the latest example of how we are working piecemeal with our legislators to create the smartest production incentives in the nation.
While technically there are no insurance requirements to film in the state, productions must have worker's compensation and liability insurance to take advantage of the local production incentives.
