The Eastern Nebraska Film Office is based in Fremont, Nebraska.  Our mission is to promote and develop the a grassroots film industry and bring big budget film, television, commercial, and industrial productions to our state.

Fremont is currently the only community in Nebraska to take advantage of LB863 that allowed communities to use local development funds to supplement television and film productions.

This was done through an existing rural development program and as a result, Omaha and Lincoln are not eligible to offer incentives through the law.   However, we are currently working with Omaha and Lincoln to join Fremont in offering incentives to spur production and job growth.  We are also working with a number of interested communities like Nebraska City to implement incentives.

The other components of our mission are education and community engagement. We are happy to work with The Digg Site Production (nonprofit) who coordinates with Metropolitan Community College and Fremont High School to offer a Documentary Filmmaking Workshop.  This is a chance for college, high school, and students of all ages to gain hands on experience and learn trade skills which can lead to successful careers to television production.

Click HERE to learn more about community engagement events through The Digg Site including The White Light City Film Festival, Celebrity Luncheons, faith-based and special interest screenings and more.

We’re currently funded by The Digg Site – a non-profit 501c3 organization.  We receive zero taxpayer dollars.  All donations are tax-deductible and we guarantee a return on investment in your community. Our staff is made up of mostly volunteers who work very hard to bring film to NE.
